Broadcasting

I've been experimenting with broadcasting for the first time, and realized (after searching in the documentation and then here) that I can use that as a broadcaster to share a document with an individual in his/her private space. So I can use that for a one-to-one document preparation.
My question is about best usage:-
Does it make sense to give that option to all internal users or all advanced users? We have been thinking how to best make use of the collaboration options without allowing everybody internal to create multiple spaces.
-
Do I understand that it is used in workflows? Like by HR?
-
What are other scenarios? Especially if you advise not to give this option to all users (it is definitely not part of the normal training you suggest)

We have no definite answer to your question because it will need a better understanding about 'avoiding creating multiple spaces'
To our knowledge (and our internal usage), broadcast profile is more for HR, because it gives them the ability to broadcast a salary slip in the personal space.
It can be also for a secretary that must share a draft to an executive committee space where he/she is not member of.
It was also the case for 'mail processing' where mail must be broadcasted by the mail processing unit to the BU spaces. Now we have an additional module doing that (mail processing).
Do I understand that it is used in workflows? Like by HR?
The label of the standard workflow in English is "Document broadcast" which can be misleading it has not the broadcast feature.
However in a non-standard workflow a document (or several documents) can be broadcasted in a space. What are other scenarios? Especially if you advise not to give this option to all users (it is definitely not part of the normal training you suggest)
More input needed here please, by scenario of broadcast usage ?
Best,

@cpotter thank you for this clarification. I can provide more details about what we are thinking about:
-
Members of a selection committee, which only works for the duration of a selection of a candidate for a job offer, need to share their preparation of tests, interview questions, comments on evaluations. It is crucial nobody else has access, not even HR, but the specific committee only exists for a few months, and only final versions only of some of the documents will be shared with HR, with the rest in the responsibility of the chairperson of the committee.
-
A person in a team wants to share a proposal with his or her superior or a colleague outside the team before sharing an idea with the team in question. (Imagine a proposal for a project somebody wants to share with one IT colleague to get some informal feedback on feasibility before spreading the idea even in his or her own team. They would definitely not wnat to share it with the whole of IT)
-
A user sharing information or a request for support with the Medical officer/doctor at the office
-
A user wanting to consult a Confidential counsellor (that is a role taken on by trained volunteers outside HR for discussing confidential matters with, such as bullying, intimidation, sexual harassment, aggression or discrimination, problems with your manager)
-
-
On our side, we discut to extend this option to all internal user, especialy to use HR forms.
Previously we have to make a risk analysis, so if some user have recommendation about this. -
@Sylvain-Roux Yes, we are thinking about using it but requiring internal users who want it to ask for it and pass a special training before getting it. We even have been thinking of a short online test/certification

sorry, while I think I get the idea, "preconisations" baffles me. Can you write the French word? Then I'll find out
