Sorry for the delay in replying,
The initial development did not take into account the different server configurations, because to retrieve data from websites, requests are sent from the server to the various external link sites. However, if for some reason requests to external sites were blocked, the automatic display would not be possible.
This is why, after an internal discussion, external link customization will also be added in version 4.2.0 (not in a patch).

In GoFAST 4.1 you have multiple new zip functionalities :

ability to create a zip directly on GoFAST based on several files selected on the GoFAST File Brower ability to mail a link to a zip based on several files selected on the GoFAST File Brower (Share by email) same for the cart function

Indeed you need to pass a ticket session for the request to be authorized.

You have to append the query string &alf_ticket={{TICKET}} to the request endpoint.

The simpler to generate a session ticket for a user would be to call the alfresco login endpoint :

curl 'http://localhost:8080/alfresco/s/api/login?u=USERNAME&pw=PASSWORD'

and it should return you the ticket.

C'est dans cette logique que les utilisateurs continuent de recevoir les notifications quand bien même ils ont réalisé leurs tâches .

I've been hoping for some documentation about how to use the Public space(s) in version 4+. We still have the Public userlist- ok.

Answer: We will verify that the online documentation in English is up to date. If needed, we will complete as soon as possible.

What could be a good reason to have more than one public space, i.e. what would be a use case to have _Public_Level1 and _Public_LevelA?

What could be a good reason to have a subspace of a public space (_Public_Level1_Level2), i.e. what would be a use case?

Answer: It is mainly a question of organizing the classification of documents and having a better understanding of this classification via email notifications (we see in which public space the documents are added/updated.

Also, to integrate GoFAST with an Intranet, it is a question of selecting the public space or spaces which are linked in order to automatically publish the documents which are deposited there on the Intranet. This is a use case implemented by some of the customers, such as the Department of Haute-Savoie and the University of Le Mans.

I think since version 4, when I multifile into our public space, my options are only to multifile into the space's root folder, or into the Template folder. Is that a bug or a feature? I always have to move the documents one folder level at a time afterwards

Answer: Normally you can drop/multifile documents only in a subspace or folder that is in that subspace (eg _Public_Level1\folderA ) and not "at the root" of Public. Could you please open a ticket about this, for our team to check?

We are talking about the changes in the standard workflow so we need some votes to know if this kind of modification is relevant for the majority of our users.

@Axel-P - I am in favour of that one,

One workaround for this could also be to either A. give a task step (validation) to a group of users /userlist, and if one of them validates, it is good,
Or - B., same as A., you add somebody (like yourself) (temporarily) to the userlist after the workflow has already started.

Does that invalidate the validation or signature process?
I would say no, In the end, if for example a signature is required, the question if anybody accepts the signature goes beyond the actual workflow; if the validation by somebody stepping in, is accepted by the person doing the signature, depends on the process and the reality of the organisation using the process.

For the user view, perhaps also, but yes this could raised privacy concerns. However a document in a space 'belongs' to all the member of that space, therefore one can argue that all must see with whom (external) it has been shared.

For you to know our first customer (2300p.) back in 2012 choose GoFAST to manage a large IT project, the migration of a new version of an ERP, 1 millions€ project, 2 years duration, 60 staffs (internal+external). Back then they needed a DMS (versionning, fast search ...) to manage all requirements, plannings, documentation, minute notes, ... all securely accessed internally and externally with stakeholders (IT consulting firms).

Since then GoFAST has been used by almost all our IT customers department at least for document sharing+collaboration, including the French Ministry of Finance for the CHORUS project, which is the ERP of French State, one of the largest and most critical software in France.

For that purpose (DMS) a project has to have at least a 'Group' collaborative space in GoFAST. If you want to share some project files with your customer and/or external parties, you will have also create a 'Extranet' collaborative space. Remember that a single document can be shared in 2 collaborative spaces, very unique feature of GoFAST.

On top of project repository in GoFAST there is a lot more that can be done :

Manage a project with KANBAN card (see screenshot)

Use workflows for a project (for example, review the business requirement, get the approval from management, ...)

Use project space template (GoFAST v4.1) where a collaborative space is having always the same structure (templates, sub-directories, ...)

Integrate a project management tool (i.e. JIRA, OpenProject, ...) with GoFAST
