We often use .md files for technical documentation (and share the pdf version when ready).
Is there a way to configure .md to be recognized as text files (to be displayed and previewed in their source format) or even as .md files (preview as md files/pdf view), with or without option to edit online?

The first option - text only - would in my guess be a matter of configuration, while the second would be more of using some plugin/extra library that would be a functional change. ButI may be wrong in both cases

@aclassen we will investigate if we can do a raw text preview of .md files. In Alfresco 4 we knew how to do it but they removed this feature in Alfresco 5.
We also saw that there is a module there https://hub.alfresco.com/t5/alfresco-content-services-add/markdown-preview/td-p/290346 . But integrating a module is always a risky bet (module must be well maintained)
