Sharing document downloads per email

For the majority of external partners we are working with, they need to receive documents from us, i.e. we have to actively send them, not wait for their download.
One advantage of sending/attaching downloaded versions of a document is that we have proof of the version number the recipients get.

We are currently manually downloading the documents that need to be shared, then attach them to emails.
We would welcome a possibility to simplify this

Options we could think of

Adding an option / alternative to Share by email, sending the mail with the attachment instead of the link
or Have a step "send by email" at the end of a document workflow or an alternative workflow, or as a CART action, also using GoFAST mailing
or have a way to at least download a number of documents that all need to be forwarded together as a zip file or so

My colleagues are complaining because what they would really like to do is drag and drop files into an email, as they were used to do from shared drives.

Dear Andrea,

All GoFAST concept, from top to bottom is to avoid file attachement. Email attachements have the following problems :

reading a file that has been modified since the email has been sended,
having important security risk to keep sensitive documents (or with personal data) in an non-encrypted mail (which is 99.5% of the emails),
environnemental issues, sending email with attachement is CO2 emitting
use quota in mail servers

Therefore we will focus on your 2 others propositions.

In GoFAST 4.1 you have multiple new zip functionalities :

ability to create a zip directly on GoFAST based on several files selected on the GoFAST File Brower
ability to mail a link to a zip based on several files selected on the GoFAST File Brower (Share by email)
same for the cart function
