Using the GoFAST Session Ticket

Following an issue encountered by some GoFAST's users when editing documents from their PC, it was found that a combination of a session ticket value set too low and a high nested file structure prevented documents from opening correctly. The error message displayed was similar to one shown during a modern authentication failure.
In fact, when the document path exceeds the default limit of 200 characters, the session ticket is no longer included in the URL. Without the appropriate GPO in place, the document cannot be opened.
To work around this issue, it is recommended to increase the maximum session ticket value so that it remains valid even for longer file paths.
This can be adjusted in the GoFAST settings, under the Documents tab.
Please note: this path length limitation no longer applies on Windows 11.
Also, a future version of GoFAST will introduce a new mechanism that eliminates the need to deploy a GPO.
